Thanks Kate, couldn’t agree more. For some reason, Pog’s prodigiousness makes him endearing while Remco’s makes him obnoxious. Maybe Remco just needs to release some questionable music videos?
Admittedly, I have not been a fan of Remco. However, his performance this year has forced me to re-evaluate him and I have to admit (reluctantly) that he is one heck of a cyclist. Watching him power through those circuits on Sunday (US time) was impressive! I find it interesting that today, Van Aert and Pogi are complaining about having to race without radio contact. Personally, I loved the break-neck, chaotic feel of yesterday's race. I felt as though literally anything could happen. It was exhilarating to watch. I especially loved seeing the rest of the riders battle for the line after Remco finished. A classic case of messing around and not paying attention!
Well said!
